Dandelion root tea is widely known and used all over the world. Dandelion root (Latin: Taraxacum officinale) – low in calories, but – high in fiber, so it is especially worth including in your diet.


Dandelions are highly nutritious plants that contain vitamins, minerals and fiber. They are rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin K, vitamin A and vitamin C. Dandelion root can be used not only for tea, but also for dandelion infusions and decoctions.



  • Dandelion root tea. Pour a teaspoon of chopped dandelion roots in a glass of hot 250 ml. water. Wait until it is ready and enjoy a mild nut flavored tea. You can also boil dandelion roots for a richer tea taste.
  • Dandelion decoction. Pour 2 tablespoons of chopped dandelion roots in a glass of 250 ml. boiling water, boil for about 15 minutes. on low heat, leave for 3-4 hours. Settle down, then scrape off. Drink the decoction 3 times a day.
  • Dandelion infusion. Pour a teaspoon of dandelion roots in a glass of 250 ml. boiling water, cover and leave to stand for an hour, drain. It is recommended to drink a quarter glass four times a day, half an hour before a meal.
